Global Programming Executive Defaults
The global runtime and master switch used by each channel's Programming Executive. Per-channel mode and cooldown policy are configured in the channel editor.
This is only the fallback for channels set to Use global default. A channel can allow or deny AI cooldowns independently. Only slot item/time cooldowns and the cooldown-derived immediate same-show guard are eligible; other scheduler rules remain enforced.
These values do not force every channel into one mode. They are defaults for channel executives that have not selected an override. Configure each channel's executive switch, mode, cooldown policy, and brief from the channel editor or use the global AI Executive Director for planning and explanations.
Seasonal Defaults
Channels can choose Use Global Default in their seasonal settings to automatically stamp in a ready-made holiday calendar instead of hand-entering windows and keywords.
These two values must add up to 100%. Higher seasonal ratios can increase reruns when the holiday pool is small.
Seasonal awareness already includes month-based holiday keywords automatically, and now also treats items released within the active holiday month as seasonal candidates.
Global New Release Boost Presets
When channels have "Use Global Preset" checked, they will inherit these rules to automatically prioritize new releases.
Days since release date to consider an episode "new".
Prioritize the episode until it has played this many times.
Max number of plays of a new release per day (0 for no limit).
Relax same-show constraints and slot cooldowns for new release reruns.
Throw new episodes out of order in sequential slot modes (e.g. strict chronology, ordered shuffle).
No rules configured. New releases will run at any time of day on all days.
Global Daypart Presets
Create named day/time windows that any slot can reuse.
No global daypart presets yet. Add one for reusable windows like Prime Time, Weekend Morning, or Late Night.
Slots can choose Global Preset to inherit these rules, or Slot-Specific to keep their own custom rules.
Advanced Settings
Record background maintenance and generation sequences in the terminal log.
Allow the guide to have its own independent channel order separate from the main dashboard.
Show profile-targeting controls on playouts so each one can be marked for all Plex profiles or selected profile names.
